In 2014, Kapil reached out to the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi via a letter to brief him on the platform. Around the same time, the Government of India launched its ‘MyGov’ portal with a similar objective—to convey citizens' suggestions to the government. This development prompted Kapil to rethink his entire project; however, a comparative analysis revealed several significant differences. While government portals often have limitations—being largely focused on specific schemes and not always open to soliciting suggestions on broader geopolitical or socio-economic issues like Article 370, border disputes, Cow police or reservation policies—Kapil's approach aimed to empower citizens at the grassroots level, focusing on the everyday issues that matter most to the common man.
